History: Colleen's Chinese-American father was an Asian studies professor at Columbia University; her mother? A mysterious Japanese woman who was killed--for reasons still unbeknownst to Colleen--not too long after her daughter's birth. Colleen was taken by her maternal grandfather, Kenji Ozawa, Chief of the Japanese Secret Service, to be raised by the Ozawa clan in the mountains of Honshu. From him she learned she was the sole heir to an impressive lineage of samurai and Daimyo--Kenji groomed her to fulfill her role as his heir, offering her extensive knowledge of the samurai through rigorous training and teachings. She was constantly pushed to her limits--one of Colleen's most distinct memories is running 10 miles barefooted through the Japanese Alps every morning of every day. Needless to say she cleaned up to be a highly skilled samurai, much to Kenji's (and Colleen's) satisfaction.
Years later Kenji was murdered by Hong Kong crimelord Emil Vachon. A devastated Colleen inherited his Meitou and in his honor vowed to follow the samurai tradition which states that "a warrior's blade only be resheathed once drawn if it has taken an enemy's life and tasted his blood". She had Vachon particularly in mind when she made this promise, though it would be just a few more years before she'd face her grandfather's killer and get her revenge. Before then Colleen flew back to New York in her early twenties to reunite with her father. Here she met Danny Rand, the warrior known as Immortal Iron Fist. During an incident involving Master Khan's Book of Many Things and a death cult of Kali Colleen and her father was essentially rescued by Iron Fist; after that Colleen and Danny became good friends and often accompanied each other in many pursuits.
She met the woman who'd become her best friend, Misty Knight, years later during a firefight in the West Side. Colleen had been faced with certain death...that is until Misty saved her before her fate was sealed. They hit it off immediately, and Colleen returned the gesture during a terrorist bombing that cost Misty her arm. Colleen stuck by her friend and helped her rise above this incident. Subsequently the two woman began Nightwing Restorations, a bounty firm in New York. The start of some exceptional times, if you ask her.
Power/Ability: As the sole heir to a long line of samurai warriors, it is to be expected that Colleen would own an impressive accumulation of skills. From childhood she has been trained to focus her chi through meditation and use that energy to perform enhanced bouts of strength. Later, with the help of the Iron Fist, Colleen’s ability flourished; now she can take her energy and use it to accelerate her healing process, burn foreign substances out of her system, reduce her body temperature enabling her to adapt to extreme temperatures, and perhaps more impressively, feign death. After her grandfather’s death she became the inheritor of a 1,000 year old Meitou, a katana and Colleen’s weapon of choice. She is a world-class Kenjutsu swordfighter and wielder of a variety of other bladed weaponry--however can be equally effective without them. Colleen has proven to be an exceptional martial artist and acrobat--put it all together and you’ve got yourself a formidable opponent. Colleen is also an accomplished detective and bail bonds agent.
In Game: Since the Dome, Colleen's curiosity often brings her to the wormhole that it manifests. She likes to keep the monsters out. Plots:
